Though we are all naturally beautiful in our own ways, not everyone is blessed with long, curling dark lashes. Some of us have to work to get those perfect lashes. But with the right bit of make-up tricks you can have those long dreamy lashes you always wanted. So how to go about it? Scroll down and find out!
♥ What kind of lashes to use?
That depends on how long you want your lashes to be, how wide your eye lids are, and what kind of lashes you want. You can get full-length lashes like Nefertari and Ashaki or the half-cut-half-full length kind which looks more natural like the Ayaba and Ohemaa. You can also opt for shorter lashes like Akilah and Cleopatra if you already have the length, but just want to add some extra volume around the base of the lashes. Talk to a make-up expert in your beauty parlour, who will be able to help you out with the kind of lashes to choose. You can get mink lashes, or real-human-hair lashes. It is advisable to go for mink lashes. Mink lashes are comfortable, durable and easier to maintain than the other kinds; especially for beginners.
♥ How to put on the lashes?
Step 1— First of all, size the lashes. Place them against your eyelids and to check if they are too wide for your lids. If they are, cut away the extra length with a pair of sharp scissors to produce a neat cut. Next, size up the length. If you feel that the lashes are too long, then snip sideways such that the outer lashes are longer than the inner lashes. Cut some of the lashes slightly shorter than the others. That gives them a more natural look.
Step 2— Next, clean your eyelids with eye makeup remover so that the skin is non-greasy and squeaky clean. Put on eye shadow before putting on the false lashes. If the lashes are too long, then it may be difficult to put on eye shadow after the lashes have been put on.
— Use a dry mascara brush to comb through your lashes before putting on the false ones. Make sure that the lashes are not clumped together. Comb through them until they are neatly separate.
Next, put a thin line of false lash glue on the outer edge of the lashes, and let dry for 10-15 seconds before setting down the lash sets on the eye lids from above. Make sure to set down from above, and not in front so that the false lashes can be as close to actual lashes as possible. With a pair of tweezers, press downlightly and wait for 20-30 seconds so that the glue can dry up completely.
Step 5— Now use a good mascara and gently stroke down from below the lids, upwards so that your real lashes, and the false lashes can be neatly arranged in one line, and the false lashes cannot be separated from your actual lashes. Use a good amount of mascara-2 to 3 times, spaced 30 seconds apart. This will give the lashes a natural look, and fullness.
Step 6— Next, use a liquid or gel eyeliner in a dark shade like black, dark grey, blue or brown and stroke inward to outward on the upper lids, filling in any gaps that might be there between the actual lash line, and the false lashes. Make the strokes smooth, and sweeping.
Step 7— If you are using false bottom lashes as well, then repeat above process. And instead of using liquid or gel liner, use a soft kohl liner. Gently fill in gaps, sweeping from the outer corner to the inner, smudging a little under the lid with your finger.
Follow these steps to put on your false lashes, and no one will ever understand that you even have false lashes on! Just make sure to choose the right kind of lashes for your eye shape, the length and volume of your real lashes. That is why it is best to seek the opinion of a makeup expert before purchasing false lashes. Talk to a makeup expert in your beauty parlour. She/he will be able to tell you what kind of false lashes you should go for, and you can even get a demo on how to wear them.
You should get something as natural and beautiful as this! Especially by using any of the camieluxe lashes 😉
